The Love of Zelkova” – A Huge Bakery Café in Yangsan with Lavender Fields and Garden Views
[Review] “The Love of Zelkova” – A Huge Bakery Café in Yangsan with Lavender Fields and Garden Views
Last weekend, I visited a large coffee bakery café called “The Love of Zelkova” located in Dong-myeon, Yangsan. This place is well known for its lavender fields in May and June, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. 💜
🚗 Spacious Parking First!
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was how huge the parking lot is!
There were parking attendants directing cars, and since the first parking area was full, we were smoothly guided to the second lot.
The entire mountain area is landscaped into a garden — seriously, the scale is impressive.
🥐 Bakery & Café Space
The building has three floors, and you place your order on the first floor, then find a seat anywhere you like.
There’s even a self-serve station with a microwave, disposable utensils, tissues, trays, and plates — super convenient!
Even though I visited on a weekday, it was surprisingly packed! We barely found a seat. 😅
The café has huge glass windows with garden views, and enjoying fresh pastries and coffee while basking in the sunlight was just… perfect.
🧁 Recommended Bakery Items
They’re famous for their rice-based bread, and the prices were quite reasonable too.
Here’s what I tried (or got recommended):
-
Black Sesame Rice Bread – 4,600 KRW
-
Egg Baked Croquette – 3,000 KRW
-
Nutella Mocha Bread – 3,000 KRW
-
Peanut Cream Bread – 3,500 KRW
-
Mont Blanc – 6,500 KRW
-
Pain de Baobab – 4,500 KRW
For drinks, we had the freshly squeezed grapefruit ade, lemonade, and Americano — refreshing and satisfying! 🍋☕
🌸 Massive Garden + Family-Friendly!
There are fountains, waterfalls, gazebos, walking trails, and beautifully designed landscaping throughout the garden.
And guess what? There were geese roaming around! 🦢 It’s such a great spot to bring kids and make fun memories.
They also have high chairs for babies, and the women’s restroom (on the 2nd floor) includes a diaper changing station, which I really appreciated.
Men’s restroom is on the first floor.
🌱 Farm Experience Program (Weds & Thurs mornings)
Every Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, they offer farm experience programs (reservation required).
Activities include:
-
Soap making
-
Planting succulents
-
DIY apron, eco bag, hat decorating
-
Lavender and photo frame crafts
You can also switch to a factory tour instead.

Next to “The Love of Zelkova” is a brunch café called “Atelier Olmo.”
They serve pasta, toast, ribs, and more.
It’s also available for private events like seminars, small weddings, first birthdays, and garden parties.
The “White House” section accommodates groups of 20+ for private gatherings or parties — ideal for those planning a cozy wedding.
