👨👩👧👦 A Family-Friendly Chinese Restaurant in Busan
Located on the 4th floor of Shinsegae Centum City Mall, Crystal Jade blends a refined atmosphere with traditional Chinese flavors.
We visited the restaurant thanks to an unexpected gift — a 40% discount coupon issued to SKT mobile users due to a network outage (true story!).
And honestly, that discount made the experience a lot more satisfying, especially when considering portion size vs price.
🍽️ What We Ordered
| Menu Item | Price (KRW) | Quick Review |
|---|---|---|
| Cantonese-style Sweet & Sour Pork | 37,000 | Crispy outside, tangy sauce — solid choice |
| Shanghai-style Stir-fried Beef with Green Onion | 42,000 | Very small portion, but excellent flavor |
| Almond Lemon Cream Prawns | 39,000 | Rich, creamy, indulgent — a standout dish |
| Seafood Chilled Noodles (Samseon Naengmyeon) | 20,000 | Refreshing broth, chewy chlorella noodles, topped with abalone & spiced pork |
| Yangzhou Fried Rice | 17,000 | Soft, fluffy texture, kid-friendly with finely chopped vegetables |
| Dan Dan Noodles | 14,000 | Decent, but not the best we’ve had |
| Jjamppong & Uni-style Black Bean Noodles | — | Just average, not memorable |
🌟 Must-Try Dishes
🥇 Seafood Chilled Noodles
Unexpectedly our favorite.
-
The chlorella-based noodles were bouncy and chewy
-
Topped with sliced five-spice pork and abalone, this was a surprisingly complex dish
-
The cold broth was deeply flavorful, not watered-down at all
Bonus: They serve individual portions of pickled mustard greens (zha cai), which is a nice touch!
🥈 Shanghai-style Stir-fried Beef with Green Onion
Adorably tiny portions (seriously), but the roasted scallion aroma and tender beef were worth it.
Next time, I’ll definitely order this again — despite the portion, the flavor was full-sized.
🥉 Almond Lemon Cream Prawns
This is a rich, decadent dish. The thick lemon cream sauce isn’t for everyone — it’s bold, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent.
I personally loved it.
🤏 On the Smaller Side…
-
The jjamppong and uni-style black bean noodles were just okay.
-
Dan Dan noodles weren’t bad, but I’ve had better — there’s a spot in Haeundae that beats this hands down .
📌 Price vs. Portion: A Reality Check
Crystal Jade is undeniably high quality, with carefully plated dishes and attentive service.
However, portions are modest. If you’re paying full price, you might feel it’s a bit underwhelming.
But with a discount? Totally worth it.
Great for special occasions or a polished family meal with kids.
