We Tried the Signature Soy Sauce Braised Chicken

We visited on a weekday for lunch with my child and went for the Soy Sauce Jjimdak (Medium – ₩31,900), which is their best-selling item. It was a hit!

  • Boneless Option: The chicken was moist, flavorful, and had zero gamey smell.
  • Toppings: Chewy rice cakes (plain + cheese), dumplings, quail eggs, green onions – rich in texture.

  • Noodles: Their glass noodles were perfectly cooked — not soggy, nicely soaked in sauce.
  • Flavor Level: We picked a mildly spicy version. My kid, who enjoys spicy food, ate it happily though said, “a bit spicy!” — still finished a whole bowl of rice.

  • Rice: Served with black rice — soft, nutritious, and satisfying.

Side Dishes That Go Beyond Expectations

It’s not just about the main dish here. Their sides show how much thought goes into the experience.

  • Steamed Egg Custard: Warm, rich broth — soothing and savory.

  • Chilled Cucumber Soup: Cleanses the palate perfectly when the heat kicks in.

  • Fresh Cabbage Salad: Crisp and shockingly fresh — no bitterness.

  • Braised Kimchi: We asked for two refills (and happily got them).

  • Steamed Sundae (Korean blood sausage) and

    pickled radish were also top-tier.
