A Complete Guide to Hospitalization at Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital
A Complete Guide to Hospitalization at Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital
From Emergency Surgery to Insurance, Parking, Meals, and More
After our child underwent an emergency surgery at Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital in Busan, we were given a detailed guide for inpatient life. I must say, it truly covered everything — from hospitalization preparation to daily routines, parking, insurance paperwork, and even where to get a good cup of coffee inside the hospital. If you or your family member are planning a stay here, I hope this post helps you navigate your hospital stay more smoothly.
๐งณ What to Bring for Admission
The hospital provides hospital gowns and bedding, so you only need to pack a few essentials:
-
A personal water bottle or cup
-
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, facial wash, soap)
-
Indoor slippers
-
Basic items for the guardian (blanket, light jacket, personal care items)
๐ Discharge Time
-
Official discharge time is 11:00 AM.
-
Breakfast is the last meal provided on the day of discharge.
-
However, we were able to leave earlier — around 9:00 AM, which helped us plan the rest of the day more flexibly.
๐จ⚕️ Doctor’s Rounds
-
Morning rounds: 08:00 – 10:00
-
Afternoon rounds: 16:00 – 18:00
Stay in your room during these hours, especially if you're expecting updates from your doctor.
๐ฝ️ Meal Times & Dietary Requests
-
Breakfast: 07:30 – 08:00
-
Lunch: 12:30 – 13:00
-
Dinner: 18:00 – 18:30
If you need to change meals (e.g., special diet or allergies), let the nurse’s station know at least 2 hours in advance.
